The following is an email actually sent to Gossip Gangster Perez Hilton
Dear Perez,
So I just got back from the Lady Gaga concert in Calgary, Alberta and I thought you should know a little something about one of your new BFFs.
The doors were supposed to open at 8:00pm, which they did. But you don't have to be Paris Hilton's BFF to know not to go that early in the evening. The only people that would perform that early would be....well no one. Not even my relatives get drunk that early. And they have been drunk since yesterday.
Anyway, my friends and I showed up around 11:00pm (on a school/work night) and waited. Of course, by waited I mean got pushed and shoved like it was a premiere for Twilight or something. I swear 75% of the audience was made of Degrassi extras rejects who probably barely got through security. My friends and I did some shots, waited, chatted with some people who had been standing in front of the stage for four hours, did some more shots, waited, did some more chatting, danced to Britney and kept waiting. Finally it was about 12:15am and she still hadn't shown up on stage.
What was frustrating about the whole thing was that we aren't talking about Elton John here Perez (who started on time both times I saw him). We are talking about Lady Gaga, who has only had one hit. Oh and for the record, her one hit "Just Dance" never got higher than 16 on the Billboard 100 chart and her second single PEAKED at 125. Wow. Even more embarrassing, her album also peaked at a lonely 17th position on the albums chart. Statistically speaking, Lady Gaga is a one hit wonder, which makes waiting that long to see her similar to waiting for Donna Lewis, Tina Arena or OMC.
Look Perez, I know she is probably an amazing performer. But Calgary, Alberta ain't Vegas. We are a city full of workers and students and it was a WEDNESDAY night, what the hell was she doing on the bus in front of Tequila for so long? Couldn't she TIVO Pushing Daisies like the rest of us? The people in front of us said they listened to Lady Gaga every morning and they ended up leaving before we did. They even said that they were never going to listen to her again because they were so disappointed.
The whole evening was made worse by the fact that when my friends and I decided to leave, we saw Lady Gaga leaving her bus to enter the club around 12:30pm. Those outside, who had not yet hit puberty, screamed with excitement and she didn't even raise her head to say hello. Excuse me Lady Gaga, when did you become such hot shit? Calgary is a freaking cold place and those people waited HOURS to see you sing one damn song and you couldn't even fake a smile. It's so funny Perez that you call Christina Aguilera a Gaga-copycat, but you know what the main difference between them is? X-tina started on time and loved every second with her fans. Lady Gaga? Well I don't know, we left before she got on stage to sing her one song. I'm guessing we didn't miss much.
Next time you see her, tell her that what she did in Calgary was defnitely not cool. Even less cool then the fact that she got third billing next to the New Kids on The Block and Natasha Bedingfield at the Saddledome earlier that night.

That does not surprise me at all. It seems that you can pretty much KNOW the one hit wonder's ASAP due to their highly inflated egos right off the hop. The funny thing is that Lady Gaga (gagging reflex) will be a memory in about 6 months (fingers crossed). The sad thing is we will be seeing her appear on a stupid VH1 reality show. If they can drag Coolio's has been, one hit wonder, annoying tampon head onto tv then sadely that is hope for lady gaga (she doesn't deserve capitalization). Ugh.
The fact that Perez can even put X-Tina in the same setence as lady gaga is so completely insulting to X-Tina. Even X-Tina's hair has more talent than lady gaga or shall I say gag gag.
Saw her in Lethbridge, she put on a good show however it was kinda short 30 mins 5-6songs. She was only 15 mins late coming on.

so, a friend saw her when she finally showed at Tequila and she (Lady Gaga, not my friend) was totally wasted and completely incoherent. i think she even fell off the stage. charming, huh?
lada gaga blows like a cow on laxitives. if you've ever seen her perform, you'll notice that she seems out of breath and out of tune even when she starts her performance. she's a bad dancer too. also, her wardrobe is lame. I think it's still to early to try to bring back the 80's. and if you are going to try, at least choose cool things from that era. in my opinion, gaga is already washed up. another one of those lame celebs the media will try and shove down out throats. the fact she was playing at tequila hopefully shows the trajectory of her career as a lame entertainer.

Such a joke. I WAS a fan...but would rather snort tabasco sauce than ever pay to watch Lady Gaga rip myself & all her fans off ever again.
I liked GaGa until I saw those comparison pics of how she ripped off Roisin Murphy's image. Couldn't belive in this. How could she bash Agilera for looking a bit similar to her (honestly, it's nothing compared to how much GaGa took from Roisin) while she was the first one to steal someone's else look?!
Why hate? Gaga has completely invented her image via a multitude of resources - most being her own and some influenced by other artists, etc. Is this a crime? Lady Gaga is going to blow us away for years to come - her talent is undeniable. As for her apparently bashing Aguilera for looking similar to her - Gaga has NEVER EVER bashed Christina. She supports Christina, likes her music and is FLATTERED that she is being compared to such a huge superstar so early in the game.
The only thing Gaga needs to work on is the length of her performances. :)

Some of you posters are a bit thick, and can't spell. I've decided Gaga is a sad lame copycat who tries to ride on the long-dead coatails of the Warhol ideal - and fails patheticaly. She is a true fake, without charisma, who cannot perform without 'pre-taped' vocals (she only pretends to sing live) and has the musical invention of a toilet duck commercial. She is a shooting star without the flame, just a homely dead face behind lame sunglasses - of course the ego is well out of proportion to her tiny abilities to emulate real talent.

She firstly couldnt sing into a radio mic properly on her first major show on some celebrations show ages ago in the UK I think it was well I mean that was a real mess what she was wearing she just seems to have gone backwards with her style completely and I dont think shes going to last.

Did anyone see Lady Gaga on "America Idol" a couple months ago? She was HORRIBLE!! She not only showed that she could barely play piano, she was out of breath after singing and dancing for about 2min. The performance was so bad that it seemed like she learned to play the piano version 5 min before she went on the stage! And her dancing was horrible!

Hey Guys, I am a HUGE Lady Gaga fan, and when i read this, I totally could not believe it. She was my idol! Now shes, I dont know like a pet Goldfish. Not that i dont like her, I still love her a lot, but please, the way she acts, i think i can get a better idol than her.
